Does the epithet “Sone Ki Chidiya” hold true for India still?
Any attempt to capture the history of a nation- its land, its people, its beauty, its glory, its trials, its failings- all in a single word or expression is bound to meet with failure. “Sone ki Chidiya” is no exception.     I like the way you have moved through India’s history and finally ended with HIV statistics and rank in Human Development Index.

    “Sone ki Chidiya” should refer to potential as much as current worth; I understand you think the potential is there but we do not deserve the term yet. However, if the potential is there, when combined with our achievements primarily in business, Armed forces and higher education should award us the “Sone ki Chidiya” epithet
